A forgotten place that returns to live. The Ringo beach, for years neglected and unknown to the new generations as a bathing place, is today at the center of an important recovery and enhancement operation. Thanks to the commitment of the municipal administration led by the mayor Federico Basile, this historic corner of Messina has been freed from abandoned waste and boats, transforming itself into a space returned to citizens, dedicated to leisure and sociality. To celebrate this rebirth, the commissioner Massimo Finocchiaroin collaboration with the Centro Messina Centro Association, promoted a special initiative: a day entirely dedicated to the workers’ party, right on the Ringo beach.
Thursday 1 May 2025, from 10 to 21the beach will host a series of free activities open to all citizens. Entertainment for adults and children will be curated by Messina Social City, while the sports club Team Volley Messina will organize beach volleyball tournaments. From 16 at 9 pm, live music and DJ set with Maurizio present and the Mixla Due group they will animate the afternoon and the evening.
The event represents not only a moment of celebration and sharing, but also an opportunity to rediscover the value of public spaces and the central role of civic participation. The Ringo beach thus becomes the symbol of a Messina that looks to the future with renewed enthusiasm, focusing on livability, welcome and sense of community. A day to spend together, to celebrate the work, the city and the sea that embraces it.
