Four women, only one newly elected councilor and one obvious reconfirmation. Mayor Pippo Midili has closed the circle, making the new council official last night. Some surprises compared to the forecasts, but in the end the mayor practically followed the indications of the coalition parties, with the exception of “Fare Milazzo”, which did not obtain the seat. The new Executive of Midili bis will therefore be composed of Eng. Santi Romagnolo, representative of the first civic of Midili, the only one reconfirmed, by Santi Saraò, exponent of Forza Italia, elected in the city council with the highest number of votes on his list, Nino Italiano, representative of the civic list “Cambiamente”, Giulio Buono, expression of the second civic of the mayor; Marina Capone, reference of the civic “Prima Milazzo” and for “Brothers of Italy” by two women, Valentina Cocuzza, outgoing municipal councilor, and Giusi Catanzaro.
Today they will officially settle in Palazzo dell’Aquila. Santi Romagnolo has been assigned the mandates for Public Works, Urban Planning, Maintenance Services, Integrated Water Service and Strategic Planning
Giulia Buono will deal with cultural heritage, valorization and management of cultural heritage, public education, relations with the public and toponymy.
A Nino Italiano Economic development, cemetery services, demographic services and enhancement of commercial and artisanal activities.
Marina Capone “owner” of municipal police, traffic, civil protection, local public transport, litigation and port administration. In Santi Saraò Sport, Personal, Public greenery and municipal sporting heritage
Valentina Cocuzza is responsible for the budget, assets, tax policies, consolidated financial statements, advertising and billboards
Giuseppina Catanzaro’s focuses on tourist promotion and territorial valorisation, local production, eco-museum and floriculture.
Mayor Pippo Midili has chosen to directly maintain some delegations considered strategic: Environment, Social Services, Promotion of major events and Management of the fortified Citadel, areas in which he intends to continue to personally follow the administrative planning.
