Solidarity initiative by the doctors of Asmev Calabria and the Paola Sanctuary to save the life of a child from Eritrea. In Africa the little boy has been hospitalized in Asmara for about a year and now needs to reach Italy to undergo adequate treatment. Doctors Cosmo De Matteis and Roberto Pititto responded to the family’s request for help. Natan suffers from severe femoral septic arthritis. Caritas organized the hospitalization of the patient accompanied by his father at the Trento hospital. But now they need money for plane tickets. For this reason De Matteis turned to the Minimum Fathers of Saint Francis. The provincial has accepted the request that on Sunday 30 November the offerings collected during the masses at the Sanctuary will be donated to this charitable work. An invitation that extends to contribute to all Paolans to try to help save a young life. “In recent years – explains De Matteis – humanity is unfortunately being lost and the differences between peoples are increasing more and more even if the blood is always the same for everyone”.
