The year of welfare reform. The regional government led by Roberto Occhiuto works on one of the central axes of the program: ensuring greater efficiency and proximity to the real needs of the communities. «On welfare, I would like us to have an ad hoc Regional Council session, because I would like one of the next reforms of these 5 years of legislature to be that of welfare», said the governor, illustrating the program in the chamber last November.
In recent days, the general direction of the department for Social Inclusion, Subsidiarity and Community Welfare was given to Iole Fantozzi. «We have many areas that don’t work as they should. The welfare organization system, in my opinion, deserves to be reformed. And on this issue I would really like everyone’s contribution, from the majority and the opposition, to make welfare more efficient also in Calabria, a region that needs investments in welfare”, added Occhiuto in the chamber.
