A motorist was injured this afternoon in an independent road accident which occurred on the A18 motorway, towards Catania. The accident occurred around 4pm at km 17, where a car overturned.
The only occupant of the vehicle was rescued on site and entrusted to the care of medical personnel who responded with an ambulance. After the initial assistance, the injured man was taken care of by the doctors for the necessary investigations.
The firefighters of the Messina Command also intervened at the site of the accident to make the area safe and a tow truck to remove the vehicle. The operations concluded in the late afternoon, with the restoration of safety conditions and the conclusion of the intervention.
