Renee Good was still alive when Ice agents prevented the intervention of a doctor who had offered to help her. The New York Times reconstructed it, based on the analysis of emergency calls and videos of the accident.

The rescue attempt was blocked by the officers

From the images we can see a man who, immediately after the shots, asks the officers to check her pulse. The request was flatly refused. The man then specifies that he is a doctor, but even this explanation does not change the response of the officers, who reiterate that they are not interested.

The arrival of the paramedics and the woman’s condition

When rescuers arrive on site, Renee Good is no longer breathing but still has an irregular pulse. Only later, after being extracted from the car, did the paramedics notice the absence of a heartbeat.
