In the evening postponement of the twenty-ninth matchday of Serie A, Inter and Napoli drew 1-1: goals from Darmian in the first half and Juan Jesus in the second decided the match at San Siro. Inter are superior to Napoli for long stretches of the match, but they pay for their lack of cynicism in front of goal. Of note in Napoli is the absence of Osimhen among the starters, not at his best. From the first minutes, Inter prevailed in terms of intensity and game proposal, despite some measurement errors in the passes towards the opponent's frontline. After thirteen minutes, the Nerazzurri came close to taking the lead, but Meret was the protagonist of a double miraculous intervention, first on Darmian's header, then on Lautaro's close-range shot. Inzaghi's boys, however, managed to break the deadlock at the end of the first half: in the 43rd minute Darmian received an assist from Bastoni from the center of the area and put the ball into the goal to make it 1-0. On the other hand, Napoli never shoots towards Sommer and is limited to rather sterile ball possession. At the start of the second half Lautaro immediately challenges Meret with a shot from inside the area. The Neapolitan goalkeeper was also attentive to Dimarco's free kick in the 53rd minute. Inter wasted and Napoli around the sixtieth minute gained confidence and entered the opponent's half of the pitch with more conviction. The Nerazzurri team missed too many scoring opportunities and the guests, from a corner by Politano, grabbed the equalizer in the 81st minute, thanks to Jesus' close-range header. The home team protested loudly because of the corner kick awarded to Napoli: from the images it appears to be Di Lorenzo who was the last to touch the ball and not Darmian. After a final full of tension and nervousness, Inter and Napoli had to settle for a draw. The Nerazzurri thus rise to 76 points, still +14 on Milan. Napoli, however, remains nine points away from fourth place, occupied by Bologna.
