Pressures on witnessesattempts to falsify documents and even a “mole” capable of reporting on the papers in the hands of the investigators. This is the picture that emerges from the documents of the investigation into the suspects illicit in the management of laboratoriesUniversity of Catanzaro which he brought eleven people under house arrest. According to the accusation, a real one criminal association would have operated within the university for years Magna Graecia. At the top of the organization there would have been the then rector Giovanbattista De Sarro. The investigators are convinced that the ex-magnificent himself could count on “connections” that would have allowed him to become aware of documents covered by the secrecy of the investigation. This is demonstrated by a detail contained in one of the hundreds of interceptions carried out by the Financial Police. Talking with the professor Domenico Brittiwho also ended up under house arrest, De Sarro makes it clear that he knows the identity of the author of the complaint which triggered the investigations. Yet at least up to that point, the name of the complainant had not been reported in any of the judicial authority measures notified to the suspects.
But not only that. De Sarro and his magic circle they were well aware of the people the Financial Police were questioning to obtain confirmation of the investigative hypotheses. The latter was interested in knowing which other colleagues had been summoned and whether she had been asked for details on the experimental procedures, in particular, on animal sacrifices, as well as on the transport of the animals themselves.
