Joe Kent, director of the American National Counterterrorism Center, leaves his post in protest against the war in Iran. «After careful consideration, I have decided to resign from the position of director of the National Counter-Terrorism Center, effective immediately. I cannot, in good conscience, support the ongoing war in Iran,” he wrote in his resignation letter.

«Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war because of pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor to serve under the leadership of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, and the Director General of Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, and lead the professionals of the National Counterterrorism Center”, concludes Kent.
