There will be 6 councilors, Giovanni Pistoia, Francesco Madeo, Tatiana Domenica Francesca Novello, Costantino Argentino, Marinella Grillo, Mauro Mitidieriwhich will form the new municipal council of the second term of the new city of Corigliano Rossano. In the decree of the assessor appointments, Pistoia is charged with the promotion of culture, education and policies for children; Madeo with the sustainable and fair city; Novello with public works and European programming; Argentino with Tourism and the Promotion of the Territory; Grillo with the city of solidarity and the valorization of heritage; Mitidieri with the Transparent and Efficient City.
Yesterday, Mayor Flavio Stasi, reconfirmed for the second consecutive term, signed the relative decree of appointment of the 6 assessors and the relative delegations of the matters covered by the assignment, which he will communicate today on the occasion of the installation of the new municipal council convened for 5 pm in the council headquarters in Piazza SS Anargiri in the historic center of Rossano. The session will be chaired by the senior councilor (the one with the highest result formed by the list vote plus the preference vote) Lorena Vulcano.
From the names it can be seen that the council members are equally divided between the two urban areas of the city Ausonico-Bizantina, trying to maintain a certain balance in the administrative management, entrusting the delegation of deputy mayor to the former mayor of the former city of Corigliano, Giovanni Pistoia. Therefore, the various conjectures about the totoassessori are dismantled, which in the days following the election results have made citizens and journalists go wild about alleged councilor positions in the face of the mayor’s silence on the issue of appointments. As highlighted several times also by us, there are three council members of the previous council that we had indicated as irremovable, Novello, Mitidieri and Argentino, while Marinella Grillo, president of the previous city council, until yesterday had been indicated, always by the rumors that were circulating, for the reconfirmation of the position, even if the rumors also spoke of a possible election of Rosellina Madeo, the most voted of the candidates of the 24 city councilors. At this point, political circles are arguing that today, on the occasion of the election of the Prime Minister by the elected councilors, the choice of the 15 majority councilors can only fall on Madeo, former group leader of the Democratic Party and current provincial councilor of Cosenza.
“The team chosen to start our second term – declared Mayor Stasi – represents a synthesis between the imperative need for political-administrative continuity and the opportunity to include different paths and experiences, which can consolidate, enrich and integrate the administrative and planning action – concludes Stasi – an executive that, over the next few months, will be further integrated and strengthened”.
