A great day of motoring. Extraordinary show on the International Circuit of Triscina (Trapani) for the first round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship. There were 225 protagonist pilots, coming from 26 different nations for an international sporting event. Drivers from all categories will be on track, from MINI to the more powerful KZ2, and the two federal new entries OK-N and OK-N Junior. Among the absolute protagonists, the young Calabrian Ermanno Quintieri who conquered the podium by taking third place in Race 2.

The race

The 2023 Italian vice champion of KZ2, the Milanese Cristian Bertuca with the LG Motorsport team on BirelART-TM Kart scored a double by winning the first of the two finals, confirming the success in Race-2. The Finnish Kimi Tani (LA Motorsport/Parolin-TM Kart) took second place on the podium in the KZ2 Under 18 category and the Sicilian Giovanni Renda (BirelART/TM Kart) took third place. Quintieri was the author of an incredible performance, managing to recover ten positions. Very close fight in the second final. In the Under 18, after Bertuca, Enrico Martinese took second place with the CMT team on KR-TM Kart and third went to the Calabrian Ermanno Quintieri (IPK/TM Kart), one of the fastest on the track. An important result for the driver from Cosenza in the opening event of the Italian ACI Karting Championship, which is celebrating the 64th edition of the Tricolore in Sicily.
