The Italian Sailing Federation has appointed the Single Reta Reta Committee for the competition Wing Foil National Grand Slam Organized by the ASD company Velico Hang Loose, which will take place in the municipality of Gizzeria. It is a national championship to be held from 1 May to 4 May 2025. The appointed tender officers who will compose the committee are five, among these Maurizio Scalise, the only Lametino present in the Single Regatta Committee and member of the Vela Club di Tropea.
In a sailing regatta it is up to the organizing authority, usually the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) for the official calendar or the body that organizes the event, the appointment of the Committee, choosing expert and qualified people in the field of sailing. The Regatta Committee is responsible for managing the technical aspect of the regatta, ensuring that it takes place according to the rules and the race of regatta. The regatta committee, made up of regatta officers, is in charge of preparing the regatta field, ensuring the correct implementation of the rules, managing the beginning and conclusion of the tests, and communicating decisions to skippers and crews. The Regatta Committee has the responsibility of making decisions on technical issues during the regatta, for example in case of changes to the path or problems with the weather conditions other components: in addition to the regatta committee, the organizing authority can also appoint a committee for protests and referees, if necessary. The Regatta Committee must ensure that the race of regatta is published before the start of the event and that the regatta instructions are clear and understandable to all participants.
