Two men with opposite personalities, but united by the desire to solve the murders that shock the city of Palermo, Fabrizio and Roberto Corsarothe former a womanizer journalist, the latter a quiet criminal lawyer, are the protagonists of the successful novels by Salvo Toscano (Newton Compton) and today of “The Corsaro Brothers”dramedy fiction produced by Camfilm and Taodue with RTI.
Yesterday on Canale 5 the third and penultimate episode “Blood of my blood”, taken from the book of the same name in the series. In the episode Fabrizio (Giuseppe Fiorello) will have to write for “Sicilia Oggi” on the death of an official of the municipality of Castelferro, in the Palermo area. A delicate case in which the main suspect is the mayor Fogazza (the Catanian actor Carmelo Rosario Cannavò), who has hired Roberto (Paolo Briguglia) for the defense.
While trying to discover the truth, Fabrizio meets a woman who will upset his routine as a confirmed bachelor. AND Maria Librizzi, social worker on the side of the poor, who lives in the village with her uncle after the death of her parents. The Messina actress Katia Greco gave her a face. «Maria takes care of less fortunate kids and over time she will become interested in politics and issues related to the mafia – he underlines – She is a determined and tough girl, who believes a lot in the values and potential of her land. She manages to stand up to Fabrizio because, unlike other women, she does not give in to his court and this aspect of her character will impress him. For Fabrizio, winning it will represent a real challenge.”
A woman with a strong personality who will put the already complex relationship between Corsaro and her colleague and friend to the test Giulia Orlando (the Acese Roberta Rigano)secretly in love with him and disturbed by his nature as a seducer.
«Maria’s presence will instead be a source of joy for her mother Antonia (Anita Zagaria), who can’t wait to see Fabrizio settled with the right girl». A homecoming for the actress from Messina on the almost entirely Sicilian set of Palermo (also in the cast is another interpreter from Pelorita, Maurizio Marchetti, in the role of Don Luigi Trovato), where the collaboration between the performers and the director proved fundamental Francesco Miccichè: «He entrusted us, directing us, but at the same time accepting some proposals to make the characters better. Francesco is a generous director and knows how to meet the actor and make him feel at ease. Furthermore, it is always nice to return to Palermo for work, visiting the city on break days.”
And always in the Sicilian capital, Greco took part in the film “The love I have” by Paolo Licata – the director’s second work after “Picciridda” – on the story of Rosa Balistreri, where she plays Maria, sister of the singer-songwriter from Licate, who narrated her sad story in the concept album “An unhappy marriage” (1967). «A role of few scenes but very significant – he says – I was too happy to work again with the technical and artistic cast of “Picciridda” and I couldn’t miss it».
Among Katia Greco’s future projects are the play “Accamora” by and with the actor Paolo Mannina, the film “Poids Plume” by the Tunisian Ghazi Zaghbani and a special participation in “La casa degli occhi”Luca Zingaretti’s directorial debut, premiering at the next Rome Film Festival (“Grand public” section).
