A 50-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Crotone Company on charges of domestic abuse, after having attacked his father inside his home. The request for intervention came from the elderly parent, who, after yet another violent argument, contacted the emergency number 112 asking for help.
According to what was reconstructed by the military, the 50-year-old hit his father with kicks and punches, accompanying the attack with insults and threats. However, it would not have been an isolated episode: for some time the man had assumed violent and intimidating attitudes towards family members, generating a climate of fear and tension within the house.
The timely intervention of the Carabinieri made it possible to bring the situation under control and to collect useful elements to outline a picture of repeated episodes of mistreatment, culminating in the attack which finally led to the arrest. After the ritual formalities, the man was taken to the Crotone district house, at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
