The Carabinieri of Lamezia Terme have arrested three people as suspects in the two fires that broke out in a pastry shop in Piazza Fiorentino and a hairdresser in Piazza 5 Dicembre on the night of May 17th. The three people to whom the precautionary measure of house arrest with an electronic bracelet was applied are PC, 30 years old, assisted by the lawyer Alberto Cristiano, FC, 48 years old, assisted by the lawyer Giovanni Gemelli and CT, 34 years old, assisted by the lawyer Antonio Larussa.
After the fires, investigations began coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Lamezia, which – above all through the video footage from the cameras – had made it possible to hypothesize responsibilities and to support the arson trail. An initial request for a precautionary measure against the three subjects made by the prosecutor was rejected, subsequently some house searches allowed the Prosecutor’s Office to acquire new evidence and to make a subsequent request for a precautionary measure which was followed up today by the investigating judge office of Lamezia.
