The resolution formalizing the entry of the Municipality of Lamezia Terme into the share capital of Sorical passed with 22 votes in favour, including those of the opposition except for the abstentions of Gennarino Masi and Doris Lo Moro. The organization acquires 1.4% of the company’s share capital – free of charge – equal to 195,104 euros, having a weight of 3.6% in terms of population of the entire regional population. A council meeting that perhaps took longer than necessary due to the discontent in the House of Dem which in recent weeks has seen the protagonist, despite himself, the councilor Masi and a never-clarified affair linked to the appointments of the commissions. However, the Sorical issue was passed after the discussion in the chamber and towards which the majority, starting with Mayor Murone, wants to look with confidence, commitment and responsibility. «We are not faced with hypotheses, but with certainties – began the mayor – we have made a choice of field, based on a regional law, we hope to participate not only in the social capital but above all in governance. As already mentioned, the institutional chain created with the Region must begin to bear fruit. We need to be in the political conditions of strength of ideas and strength of representativeness that we have.”
