Almost a year after the partial collapse of the LELAT boundary wall, which occurred in Messina on 23 December 2024 after a violent storm, Forza Italia municipal councilor Concetta Buonocuore denounces the lack of interventions by the Administration.
According to Buonocuore, the structure is still completely accessible: the fallen gate is only supported and the neighborhood kids enter the internal field, located near the area of the collapse. A condition which, he warns, puts both young people and guests of the community at risk, fragile people who need protection.
The councilor presented an urgent question to the mayor and the competent department, asking for explanations on the delays and certain times for the start of the safety works. “A wait of almost a year is unacceptable – he states –. Immediate intervention is needed to avoid irreparable consequences.”
