Lisa, a mixed-breed dog of about two years old, was found while still a puppy on the afternoon of December 31, 2022, abandoned on the side of the road while preparing for the New Year’s Eve celebrations and was saved by some volunteers who did not hesitate to take her to the city kennel, currently under judicial administration and managed by the “Dacci una Zampa Onlus” Association, providing her with the necessary care and attention.
From today Lisa, adopted by the Police Commissioner of Reggio Calabria, officially becomes part of the large family of the State Police, hosted by the Dog Squad. The initiative, promoted by the State Police, wants to draw attention to the importance of the issue of adoptions of four-legged friends from public structures, with the main objective of raising awareness among the population of a gesture of love and solidarity towards animals , consequently discouraging all buying and selling initiatives in the so-called “black market”.
Noted for her sweetness, Lisa has passed all the health checks and, after having been registered in the canine registry of the veterinary service of the Provincial Health Authority of Reggio Calabria, from today she will officially participate in the institutional events of the State Police starting from those that involve students from schools in the province.
