A German Bundeswehr soldier has been arrested on suspicion of murdering four people in Lower Saxony last night. The Rotenburg police and the Verden prosecutor's office reported that a child was also among the victims. The crime scenes are located in the municipalities of Scheebel and Bothel and the motive could be linked to the “family environment”. According to investigators, the suspect turned himself in shortly after killing his victims and was arrested by police.
The motive has not yet been definitively clarified; the investigation is in full swing, authorities said, quoted by German media.
