Open-stage applause for Oscar winner Kevin Costnerwarmly welcomed by the packed audience of the Magna Graecia Film Festival. Guest of honor at the film festival, the American star was interviewed by journalist Silvia Bizio and received the Golden Column created by the GB Spadafora brand from the President of the Region Roberto Occhiuto. The director of the festival Gianvito Casadonte announced that Costner’s latest work “Horizon – An American Saga”, after the screening at Cannes and the passage in Calabria, will see its second chapter in world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
The undisputed star of yesterday evening was director and actor Tim Robbinsremembered, among others, for the film “The Shawshank Redemption” which this year celebrated its thirtieth anniversary since its first release in theaters. The stage of the arena-port also featured the unforgettable protagonist of “Beautiful” Clayton Norcross and the director Brando De Sica who presented his film in competition “Mimì il principe delle tenebre”. The musical performance by Carlo Amleto with Gabriele Vagnato was also appreciated.
At the Supercinema in Catanzaro, instead, the premiere of “Il Mare Nascosto” by Luca Calvetta will be screened, in the presence of the director, and of “Inshallah A Boy” by Amjad Al Rasheed.
Tonight Tim Robbins will be a guest at the festival again, with the eagerly awaited performance of his group “I Tim Robbins and the Rogues Gallery Band”the musical project cultivated by the actor in parallel with his film career. At 6:15 pm, instead, at the Terrazza Saliceti in the Spazio Radio 2 Rai the presentation of the book by Giulio Golia, “Mostri di Ponticelli”. Moderated by Eugenia Ferragina, and at the Supercinema at 8:30 pm, for “Documentaries”, the screening of “Tutte le cose che resta” by Cinzia Lo Fazio and for “Opere prime e seconde italiane”, Flaminia by Michela Giraud with a video greeting from the director.
