Kenyan police announced today that they will offer a reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspected serial killer who escaped from a Nairobi police station a few days ago. “A significant financial reward will be given to anyone who provides credible information leading to the arrest of the suspect,” the Directorate of Criminal Investigations said, without specifying the amount of the reward.

Suspected of killing dozens of women, Collins Jumaisi, 33, fled a police station on Monday night with 12 other people, Eritreans in irregular situations. He was arrested on July 15, a few days after the discovery of bodies stuffed in bags in a landfill south of Nairobi. According to authorities, Collins Jumaisi, described as a “psychopathic serial killer” and a “vampire”, confessed to having committed 42 murders of women between 2022, the first of which was that of his wife, and July 2024.
