Calabria rewrites history, as always in its own way. Unions and builders denounce the abundance of construction sites already open or on the launch pad, and even at risk, because there is a lack of workers: both specialized and ordinary. Yes, yes, you read that right: work is plentiful and companies are struggling to find people to hire.
«The problem is very serious and we have been highlighting it for some time now. From investigations by our study center it appears that in Calabria there is already a shortage of 2,500 workers including bricklayers, drivers, excavators, carpenters, structural engineers and other figures in the sector”, denounces the regional president of the National Association of Building Contractors (ANCE), Roberto Rugna.
