The seminar-discussion “The challenges of hospitality in today’s Europe” took place yesterday in the Department of Political and Social Sciences of the University of Calabria, an intense and participatory meeting which placed the theme of hospitality as a social and moral frontier of our time at the center of the debate. The occasion was the presentation of the volume “Sociologie de l'(in)hospitalité. De la Jungle de Calais à Riace” (Éditions du Cygne, Paris, 2025), written by Anna Elia (University of Calabria) and Emmanuel Jovelin (CNAM – Paris), with the preface by Mimmo Lucano and the afterword by Walter Greco.
