He was “the protagonist of an important season”: Schifani’s condolences

«With the death of Mario D’Acquisto, Sicily loses a protagonist of an important season of its institutional life. As president of the Region and as a man of the institutions he went through difficult and complex years for our island. I address to his family and loved ones, on my personal behalf and that of the regional government, the most sincere feeling of condolence and closeness.” This was stated by the president of the Sicilian Region, Renato Schifani, who also recalled “the long political and institutional commitment of D’Acquisto, who served Sicily and the national Parliament by covering roles of great responsibility”.
