The transport of electoral material from the atrium of Palazzo Zanca to the sections of the municipal territory, necessary for voting operations, ended today, Saturday 23 May. The packages and tools provided were delivered to the polling chairmen.
The numbers
There are 253 electoral sections in the municipal area, including the 9 special sections, while 188,540 voters are registered to vote in the Municipality of Messina.
Today, Saturday 23 May, only the preliminary operations required by current legislation will be carried out. In particular, as provided by art. 16, paragraph 1, of the DP Reg. 20 August 1960, n. 3 and recalled by the prefectural circular of 12 May 2026, in the afternoon hours of Saturday 23 we will proceed:
the delivery to the polling station presidents of the material needed for voting;
the delivery of the lists of voters authorized to vote at home, in places of care and in places of detention;
to the reconnaissance of the premises intended for electoral operations.
The Electoral Service of the Municipality of Messina informs citizens that it will be possible to obtain the issue of electoral cards and identity cards at Palazzo Zanca – Piazza Unione Europea, 1 – ground floor, today, Saturday 23 May from 9.00 to 18.00; Sunday 24th, from 7.00 to 23.00; and Monday 25th from 7.00 to 15.00, and at the offices of the six city districts.
The locations
The offices involved are: I District – Vico Petraro n. 6, Tremestieri; II District – Services Building, San Filippo Stadium; III District – “La Pira 2” school complex, Camaro San Paolo; IV District – Via dei Mille, is. 88 n. 257; V District – Via Nicola Petrina, 2 – Villa Lina; VI District – Via Consolare Pompea n. 1853 – Ganzirri.
Voting takes place tomorrow, Sunday 24th, from 7am to 11pm, and Monday 25th from 7am to 3pm. To avoid situations of overcrowding, mix-ups or delays in voting operations, voters are invited to go to the polling stations from the early morning, avoiding, as far as possible, the time slots immediately preceding the closing of voting.

Through the new dedicated website, developed internally by the Municipality of Messina – RTD Service, voters, by connecting to the “Administrative Elections 2026” portal https://elezioni.comune.messina.it can receive clear and updated information on electoral consultations through a concise and accessible guide.
The portal includes:
· practical information on documents, times and voting methods;
· information on the issuing of electoral cards;
· a responsive design, for an optimal experience from smartphones, tablets and PCs.
The second digital tool is the “Dove Voto” online service, which allows you to quickly locate your polling station via:
search by surname and tax code;
geolocalized map of polling stations.

The Municipality will make the turnout percentages available in real time and, at the end of the voting operations, scheduled for Monday 25 May at 3.00 pm, the official results of the administrative elections for the Mayor, the City Council and the district councils, with the related lists and related candidatures.
