Fear in the night at Messina central stationwhere an RFI locomotive – the one that takes the train to the ferry – during the manoeuvres, it abruptly hooked onto a stationary convoy who had to embark. The incident occurred around 2am during the boarding operations of the ICN 1960. On board – according to RFI information – around a hundred travellers, nineteen of whom suffered bruises and were examined by the 118 staff, who intervened on Polfer’s request. Of these nineteen, 17 continued their journey regularly, while two others were sent to hospital, but without serious consequences. The train then boarded at 3.30am. Polfer investigates the incident.
