Protest demonstration this morning in front of the Prefecture of Messina, by workers from the former Gicap supermarkets. The Ergon Group, which will manage the business unit on lease until December 31st, has announced 190 collective layoffs, 150 of which concern Messina and its province, the others Calabria and Sicily. In fact, 16 stores are preparing to close their doors. To make the pill less bitter, the union representatives of Filcams Cgil, Fisascat Cisl and Uiltucs have asked the Prefecture to invest the Ministry, so that in the meantime it grants the extraordinary redundancy fund.
