The judge from Messina passed away at the age of 48 after a long illness Valeria Curatolowho for a couple of years, after an intense stay in the criminal sections of the Messina court, had been serving at the Peloritano Surveillance Court.
A student at the La Farina high school, a graduate of the University of Messina and a scholarship holder from the Bonino-Pulejo Foundation, she was appointed judicial auditor in 2004 and in 2006 she took over the functions in the assize court and in the criminal sections, where she carried out the functions as a single and collegial judge, participating in the decision of numerous trials and in the drafting of the reasons for the sentences, even in complex organized crime proceedings. In recent years you had also worked intensely at the Review Court and the Investigating Judge section, before moving to the Surveillance Court in 2022.
