A dedicated technological enhancement for the two resonances (RM) of the Polyclinic G. Martino di Messina. The plan that will allow you to update the two instruments by providing them with technologies that also use artificial intelligence has been put in place starting from yesterday (8 May).

It begins with the Pavilion’s RM and which, after the momentary stop put in place, will return to operation on May 26. This update is very significant because it will make the sequences faster, thus reducing the time of the exam, for the benefit of those patients who do not like to resonate for a long time during the execution of the performance. A greater speed that is also found with the lower duration of the narcosis for patients carrying out the exam in sedation.

From 27 May the intervention on the Pavilion F machine will be started where some structural interventions are also planned and in this case the operations of the MRI is scheduled by 30 September. In the meantime, the new 3 Tesla resonance purchased with university funds will also take place.

To mitigate the inconveniences that could derive from the scheduled interventions, the Aou has chosen to put a resonance in half a mobile area; A choice that – thanks to the collaboration of the team – was also adopted in order not to create further critical issues in the management of waiting lists. This use will also be experimental to evaluate a possible use of the longer -term mobile vehicle, always in the perspective of the waiting lists.
