In a month Messina will celebrate his patron saint, the Madonna della Lettera. An appointment experienced with renewed faith and devotion that of June 3 by citizens who renew the link with the fast listener.
Also this year the Archdiocese with the Cathedral Basilica Authority, the Maria and Messina Committee – from the letter to the Vara and the Diocesan Interconfraternal Center (CID) are working for the events of the Marian night, an initiative of strong spiritual value and cultural interest now in its third edition, which will take place on June 2. Many artists and attractions planned, but also musical performances and cultural insights in an itinerant path that will touch some of the most significant cultural and religious sites in the city.
Meanwhile, the cleaning and restoration of one of the oldest marian votive newsstands in the city have started, located on the past palace on the Boccetta Viale. The costs of the works are incurred by the CID which, once again, relaunches the cultural commitment in favor of the city all while maintaining live religious traditions that are part of the roots of the people of the Strait.
