On Sunday 29 September, the Teatro Annibale di Francia in Messina hosted the premiere of the four-act comedy “I Figli di Diritti”, loosely inspired by the historical novel of the same name by Salvatore Curtòwith a resounding sell-out. The event, presented by the Sicilian Academy, exceeded expectations, with an enthusiastic audience and the participation of numerous local authorities.
The evening was opened by Helga Corraofollowed by the piano performance of Luciano Corneliusaka Alex Lu, who moved the audience with his composition I Figli di Nobo. The direction of Gustavo Lampi, flanked by the precise Lucio Cucinotta (assistant director) and the talented Mimma Ferrisiin the role of stage director, was able to create a lively and engaging performance, alternating emotion and humour.
The actors’ performances Helga Corrao, Mimma Ferrisi, Davide Beccore, Lucio Cucinotta, Rebecca Bombara, Lillo Cammaroto, Emilio Fragale, Ester Sottile, Giosuè Sottile, Cinzia Lincoln and the young talent from Agrigento Alfonso Guadagninoprovided a solid narrative framework to the show, and to the performances of an intense Salvatore Curtò in the role of the Professor and Josè Villari, matador of the stage. Villari, with winking questions, helped the Professor to remember his past, dragging the audience into thunderous laughter. The contribution of the stage helpers is also fundamental Giosuè Sottile and Nina Giordano.
The authorities present, including the Vice Prefect Michela Fabio, Dr. Anna Sammarro of the Police Headquarters, Lieutenant Nicola Arena of the Guardia di Finanza and Captain Federico Mucciacciaro of the Carabinieri, praised the show for its strong educational message aimed at young people. At the end of the evening, all the actors were rewarded, recognizing their commitment and the quality of their performances.
Technical support was provided by Pippo Scattareggia’s Mepa Eventi Production, with photography by Domenico Giliberto and the makeup was done by Pina Buffo. Giovanni Rando he managed sound and lights with mastery. Media partner of the event was Todo Modo TV.
