The fight against municipal tax evasion is starting to produce its first concrete effects. For just one year, the 2018the offices of Palazzo De Nobili have issuedo sanctions for non-payment of Tari and Tosap for a total of over 600 thousand euros. in recent days the Financial Services and Budget sector issued the two decisions explaining that the cleansing of the data obtained from the intersection between the registry database (demographic services sector) and the tax database, started to combat anti-evasion activity, has been completed.
With regard to the tax for the occupation of public land (Tosap) the office carried out the assessment for the 2018 tax yearfollowing checks carried out, for omitted/partial payment of the tax for temporary and permanent employment. The offices report that they have imposed “administrative sanctions of a tax nature for failure to pay” with the addition of late payment interest, calculated days from the due date of the tax (31 January) to the date of issue of the notice, at the rate current law, notified to interested parties. With the sending of the assessment notices for the year 2018, a revenue of 47,192.03 euros (for the permanent Tosap) and 53,261.45 euros (for the temporary Tosap) is expected, for a total of 100,453.48 euros as from a report extrapolated from the software in use for waste tax management.
Even richer is the dish that should come from the garbage backlogto. The determination explains that the tax office proceeded with the issuing of the 2020 Tari notices, including “users who were not present in the Tari tax archives of previous years (total evaders)”.
