The mayor of Messina, Federico Basile, met the general manager of the ASP, Giuseppe Cuccì, to take stock of the case of drinking water-Non drinking. A case that has been dragging for about 8 months, since, that is, the mayor signed the ordinance, on September 5, with which he decided to introduce the water of five wells in the south area into the water network, whose potability has never been definitively ascertained by the ASP.
It is Basile himself who communicated that he has met, at Palazzo Zanca, the DG of the ASP, “with which the recent inspections carried out jointly by ASP and AMAM took place. Maximum collaboration between the Municipality of Messina and Asp Messina on the goodness of the works carried out to garrison water resources. AMAM proceeds to periodicals and constant controls on the quality of the water through workshops recognized by ASP which confirm the quality of the waters entered in the Civic Network. In the next few days the final inspections will be made, a necessary step to complete the formal procedures provided for in the context of the activities of protection of water resources ». Formal procedures senze which, it is necessary to remember it, remains in force that September order, with which the Mayor warns the citizenship that the water must be used for only hygienic-sanitary purposes.
