On June 10, 1925, the community of countesses began to write a new page of religious history, which was at the same time cultural and identity history. With the opening to the cult of the parish church named after Santa Maria Immacolata, born thanks to the generosity of the De Pasquale family who donated the land and supported its building, the inhabitants of Contensses began a renewed journey of faith and sharing. A feast of people to celebrate this first centenary, shared with the archbishop Giovanni Accolla who presided over the mass concelebrated by the original priests of the village who in that parish seized the vocational journey – by Msgr. Nicolò brakes to young people Matteo Culletta, Gianmarco Restuccia and Carmelo Mazzei – and from the parish priests of the pastoral unit.

The welcome on the churchyard with the band of the village directed by Giovanni La Fauci and the pupils of the Tremestieri Comprehensive Institute. While the echo of the white night organized with the second municipality, an initiative in which – as the parish priest recalled Cleto D’Agostino – “The beauty of being a family of families has been tested”, the people of countesses gets back on the way with Mary, a model of faith and humble listening, said Msgr. Acceton, making that church “a place of meeting with the Lord through the brothers”. In the presence of the heirs of Pasquale and the president of the Municipality Davide Siracusano The parish priests who led the community over the decades were remembered by Father Sparacino who opened the Church, to the confreres Rasano and Forestieri. In the closure relay and cutting the cake.
