An unforgettable weekend for the ASD Polisportiva FC Contesse, who left his mark at the Italian Indoor Paralympic Championships in Ancona, winning a total of 16 medals and establishing two Italian records.

A story of commitment and inclusion

Founded in 2007, the Polisportiva FC Contenso participated for years in the FIGC activities before obtaining, in 2018, the affiliation to the FISPES (Italian Paralympic and Experimental Sport Federation). Today, the association stands out for the promotion of Paralympic sport, placing the value of the inclusion of athletes with disabilities in the center. The main discipline of the team is athletics, with six talented athletes followed by the technician Giuseppe poster: Mario Ratti, Simone Caldarera, Vincenzo Amata, Umberto Marin, Pietro Cicero and Andrea Augimeriwhich also holds the role of president of the club.

Successes and record at national level

After obtaining a first place in the Grand Prix Fispes Sicily 2024 and an excellent fifth place in Italy, the team showed up at the Italian Indoor Italian Championships in Ancona on March 15 and 16, bringing home extraordinary results. A weekend full of emotions, marked by the debut with the new uniforms donated by the fans of the Nino Cucinotta association.

At the end of the races, the budget was exceptional: 8 gold medals, 3 silver and 5 bronzefor a total of 16 medals. But the successes don’t stop there:

  • Simone Caldarera has established the Italian record in the 400 meters in category T37;
  • Umberto Marin scored the Italian record in the upper jump in category T47;
  • Pietro Cicero has become Absolute Italian champion in the upper jump in category T13.

A goal that pushes towards new objectives
