Dedication ceremony Sunday at 11am of the staircase in via Leopoldo Nicotra (adjacent to Palatracuzzi) to maestro Carletto Scuderimusician and arranger who passed away in 1997. A commemorative plaque will be placed. Scuderi, born in 1922 to parents who were both musicians, was one of the symbolic figures of the “dolce vita” of Messina and in 50 years of activity he directed numerous orchestras and was the organizer of numerous shows and events. In a city and a province that laboriously came back to life after the bombings, his evenings which always began with the notes of the song “Why” animated clubs such as Miramare, Granatari, Sesto Acuto, Giara, Irrera a Mare.
His son Dino he followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a composer, conductor and member of various musical groups, from Kunsertu to De Novo. He wrote the music and lyrics for several successful musicals.
