Municipality of Patti

During the meeting, Campagna presented the new information project dedicated to tourism and cruise travel, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the excellence of the metropolitan area and actively involving the Municipalities in a shared promotion process. The initiative involves the creation of a network between the cultural sites present in the various municipalities of the metropolitan city and the development of further activities aimed at strengthening the tourist and cruise attractiveness of the area. Mayor Bonsignore highlighted the critical issues related to the weeding and maintenance of provincial roads, with particular reference to the SP124 San Paolo–Carasi, the SP107, the SP108 and the SP119 falling in the Tindari area, a fundamental road axis for improving accessibility to the Sanctuary, an increasingly important destination for cruise tourism. The general director Giuseppe Campagna announced the convening of a new meeting with the mayors of the district to coordinate the necessary interventions.

“Our objective – declared Campagna – is to guarantee that each Municipality can benefit from the funds effectively, enhancing the specificities of the territory and improving services and infrastructures for citizens and tourists. Collaboration between institutions is the key to balanced and sustainable development”.

The metropolitan mayor Federico Basile commented: “These meetings are fundamental for strengthening the relationship between the Metropolitan City and the Municipalities, listening to local needs and planning concrete interventions. Only by working together can we guarantee the harmonious growth of the territory and enhance its excellence, for the benefit of residents and visitors”.

During the meeting, the issue relating to the costs and management of the Patti Sports Hall was also addressed, with Campagna announcing the start of administrative checks and an inspection scheduled for the next few days.

Municipality of Montalbano Elicona

During the meeting, Campagna presented the new information project dedicated to tourism and cruise travel, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the excellence of the metropolitan area and actively involving the Municipalities in a shared promotion process. The initiative involves the creation of a network between the cultural sites present in the various municipalities of the metropolitan city and the development of further activities aimed at strengthening the tourist and cruise attractiveness of the area. Mayor Todaro drew attention to the need for timely interventions on the road network that connects the village to the neighboring centers and the main tourist attractions. In particular, it highlighted the urgency of weeding, safety and maintenance works on the former agricultural Falcone-Santa Barbara provincial road, which is fundamental for the daily mobility of the population. The critical issues of the SP110 and SP115 were also reported, strategic arteries that lead to the megalithic site of Argimusco, one of the most important naturalistic and tourist centers in the area. The high flow of visitors makes an overall improvement of road conditions a priority, both for safety reasons and to fully exploit the tourist potential of the area.

“These meetings represent an essential moment to directly listen to the needs of the territories and define targeted, concrete and shared interventions. Our priority is to support the Municipalities in enhancing their excellence, improving the quality of life of citizens and making our area increasingly attractive for visitors”, declared the general director Giuseppe Campagna.

“Constant dialogue with the mayors of the area is essential to build effective planning and respond in a concrete way to the needs of citizens. Through collaboration with the Municipalities we aim to strengthen the infrastructure, enhance tourism and promote the sustainable development of the entire metropolitan area”, stated the metropolitan mayor Federico Basile.

Municipality of Mazzarrà Sant’Andrea

During the meeting, Campagna presented the new information project dedicated to tourism and cruise travel, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the excellence of the metropolitan area and actively involving the Municipalities in a shared promotion process. The initiative involves the creation of a network between the cultural sites present in the various municipalities of the metropolitan city and the development of further activities aimed at strengthening the tourist and cruise attractiveness of the area. Mayor Pietrafitta highlighted the need for urgent interventions on the containment railing of the Mazzarrà–Furnari provincial road, pointing out the potential risks to the safety of motorists. “The infrastructure – explained Pietrafitta – is now deteriorated and requires immediate consolidation and restoration work”. He also underlined the importance of scheduled maintenance of the SP100 and SP100 bis, affected by invasive vegetation that compromises visibility and safety. “Continuous intervention would make it possible to preserve the practicability of the roads and guarantee efficient connections both for residents and for the economic activities of the area,” he concluded.

“Our objective – declared Giuseppe Campagna – is to build a network of collaboration with the Municipalities to promote local resources, attract new tourist flows and strengthen the image of the metropolitan area. Involving the mayors means guaranteeing that the actions are truly in line with the needs of the citizens”.

The metropolitan mayor Federico Basile added: “These meetings represent a fundamental moment to listen directly to the needs of our Municipalities. Only through constant dialogue can we correctly direct resources and guarantee concrete interventions, both in terms of safety and economic and tourism development”.

Municipality of Fondachelli-Fantina

During the meeting, Campagna presented the new information project dedicated to tourism and cruise travel, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the excellence of the metropolitan area and actively involving the Municipalities in a shared promotion process. The initiative involves the creation of a network between the cultural sites present in the various municipalities of the metropolitan city and the development of further activities aimed at strengthening the tourist and cruise attractiveness of the area. Deputy Mayor Puglisi highlighted the difficulties linked to the maintenance of roads in internal areas, characterized by a complex morphology that requires constant and targeted interventions. Particular attention was paid to the SP97 and SP95, where the presence of vegetation and the deterioration of the road surface make urgent interventions necessary. It also requested an immediate focus on the Fantina–Milici provincial road, fundamental for residents’ daily connections and access to essential services. The current state of the route, he explained, affects the safety of students, workers and citizens who travel this artery daily, making structural intervention a priority.

At the end of the meeting, the general director Giuseppe Campagna declared: “The constant discussion with the mayors of the area represents a fundamental tool for planning effective and targeted interventions. The Metropolitan City is working to guarantee concrete and timely responses, implementing a shared strategy that enhances the peculiarities of the territories and improves the quality of life of citizens. We will continue on this path, with commitment and collaboration”.
