Mistretta’s dream of boasting the title of Italian Book Capital 2025 fades to a photo finish. This morning, at the Ministry of Culture, the town of Subiaco, in the province of Rome, was proclaimed the winner. The announcement was made by the Minister of Culture Alessandro Giuli during the ceremony held at the ministry in the presence of the General Director of the Libraries and Copyright Directorate, Paola Passarelli with the liaison of the members of the jury chaired by Gian Arturo Ferrari who evaluated the proposals of the twenty participants.
The one obtained by Mistretta, which arrived among the six finalist cities and was represented at the ceremony by the mayor Tatà Sanzarello, can in any case be considered a result of absolute prestige, confirming the quality of the proposal developed by the scientific committee, in which history, culture were valorised and traditions of the Amastratino centre.
