The great prank takes place in the 96th minute, when Petagna gets the penalty following a naive foul by Antonini and Pessina converts it. So Monza shoots on target for the first time and avoids a defeat that would have been undeserved given that Catanzaro goes ahead with Pontisso, plays much better, hits the woodwork twice (Antonini and Pittarello) and suffers nothing in a match in which the referee Ayroldi is at least as much a protagonist (in a negative way) as the players on the field with three expulsions (Alesi, Cutrone and Keita).
