The Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Cosenza have executed an order of APplification of 5 personal precautionary measuresone of which of pre -trial detention in prison, one of application of house arrest with electronic bracelet and three of the obligation to present the judicial police, ordered by the investigating judge at the Court of Cosenza, against as many suspects, for the deemed existence of serious clues regarding the crimes, in various capacities hypothesized against them, of the competition in the cultivation of a marijuana plantation in Mongrassano in Mongrassano (CS).
The provision, issued at the request of the Public Prosecutor of Cosenza, arises a complex investigative activity carried out by the military of the Operational Section of the Carabinieri Company of Cosenza with the constant coordination of the Public Prosecutor of Cosenza, during which it was possible to locate and seize, in impervious mountainous area, in the territory of Mongrassano (CS), a marijuana plantation of 805 plants, of variable height between 150 and 250 cm, grown through an articulated irrigation system, consisting of pipes, hidden in dense vegetation, connected to a cistern and a source of spring water; There were about 61,100 single medium doses obtainable from the seized drugs.
The complex investigations, continued with the coordination of the Public Prosecutor of Cosenza, and consisted in technical activities, observation services and documentary investigations, allowed – in the phase of the preliminary investigations that requires the subsequent procedural verification in the contradictory with the defense – to outline the attributability of the plantation to the suspects and, therefore, the serious indications of guilt of the crime ascribed to them, with the relative needs. precautionary underlying each of the five applied measures.
