A US-made F-16 fighter jet of the Ukrainian Air Force “was shot down” in the Zaporizhzhia region “while preparing to launch a missile attack” on the area. He told Tass a Russian deputy, Vladimir Rogov, Chairman of the Commission of the Russian Civic Chamber on Sovereignty, Patriotic Projects and Support for Veterans Vladimir Rogov. “An F-16 aircraft was in its initial position to launch a missile attack on the region. It was shot down,” the politician said.

This was reported by the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency, cited by Tass. «The restrictions on departures and arrivals were lifted at 4.39pm (2.39pm in Italy). The temporary restrictions were imposed to ensure the safety of civil flights,” explains the agency without providing further details.
