Francesco Bagnaia, who started from pole, won the Sprint race of the Dutch GP. Two Ducatis on the top steps of the podium, with Jorge Martin, leader of the championship, in second place. Maverick Vinales (Aprilia) came in third.

“We’ve been going really strong since Friday for five weekends. The same goes for the Sprints, but for various reasons we haven’t always achieved the maximum, see the crash in Barcelona or the contact with Binder in Le Mans. Here we managed to start off on the right foot and so far everything is working out”. These are the words of Francesco Bagnaia, speaking to Sky Sport, after his victory in the Sprint Race of the Dutch Grand Prix, held on the Assen circuit. “After my fast lap I tried to manage so as not to take risks: I think, therefore, that there was still room to push. However, I wasn’t too satisfied with my feeling with the front tyre: I lacked the grip I needed in the fast sections with the hard tyre”. Finally, the rider from Chivasso continued: “I wasn’t happy with my start to the championship and we worked with the team, finding a solution in Jerez. As for the bike’s set-up, we’re touching very little every weekend”.
