He was only 20 years old the Spaniard and was shooting on the Magny-Cours circuit when he had the misfortune of getting out of the curve and was hit by another motorcycle that he was unable to avoid it. A dynamic sadly known among the motorcycles, even if in some reconstructions it is mentioned that it was a loss of oil that would have made the asphalt to cause the fall. Once uncompinged by his Honda, the standard bearer of the Laglisse team would however have been hit by the drivers who came behind him. The intervention of the doctors, however timely, was not enough to save Borja.
