Municipal elections in Reggio, major maneuvers underway. And here is tyranny, sophistry and hypocrisy

“Whoever wins celebrates and whoever loses explains.” A great coach like Julio Velasco says it and it is a rule that applies both in sport and in politics. The center-right of Reggio can afford to celebrate for a few more hours and the center-left can lick its wounds but time passes quickly and the municipal elections are already knocking on the doors. It is essential that it is important to choose the two candidates for mayor well, doing so before your opponent can be decisive. This is why the two political sides (not counting the civic ones) are already moving to identify the right profile. It is easy to imagine that in the centre-left the Democratic Party will have the last word on who will be Giuseppe Falcomatà’s heir, while the situation in the opposing camp is more complex and nebulous. On the one hand, in fact, there are the stellar numbers of Forza Italia (29% in the city) and the muscles of Francesco Cannizzaro who claim to indicate the next candidate for mayor; on the other, Matteo Salvini’s dream of having a Northern League mayor in Reggio who walks on the legs (and votes) of Peppe Scopelliti, who raised the consensus for the Northern League to 15%. And then there is FdI with a more marginal role… Who will come out on top?
