The resumption of ordinary activities is approaching for the Municipality and on the table of Mayor Nicola Flowered there are still the two dossiers that have captured attention in the last few weeks before the summer break. The evolution of the tender for the assignment of the waste sorting service and the political verification, the so-called coupon. There is no shortage of points of contact between the two dossiers, especially in light of the developments that then led to the self-protection withdrawal of the tender notice.
On this last topic, the opposition forces confirm their desire for full clarity on how a tender notice was published even in the presence of “errors” that could have jeopardized the employment position of the employees, currently employed by Sieco, once they arrived at the new company. The minority is particularly focused on the position of the manager of the Environment sector, Antonio Dominianni, – on which a verification by the coordinator of the technical area, manager Giovanni Laganà, is being called for – but also that of the same councilor for the branch, Giorgio Arcuri. The affair has in fact created no small amount of embarrassment within the administration that would not like to have to expose itself too much to attacks from the opposition that does not intend to keep quiet about the affair.
It is clear, therefore, that such a delicate situation cannot but enter into the scope of the political verification that has been underway for almost two months now and whose conclusion is still not in sight. If last year, already in the first half of August, the first check had been made and the cabinet reshuffle completed, this year it is clear that the situation is more delicate. Because there are relationships between allies at stake and therefore balances that, if touched, could open the doors to scenarios of precariousness.
