More and more likely but still to be made official. The agreement with Azione becomes for the mayor Nicola Fiorita a decisive step in the crisis that has shaken the Municipality in the last week, between the elimination of the Council and the exit from the majority of Antonello Talerico together with two other councilors (Francesco Assisi and Manuela Costanzo). The agreement will probably not be a keystone, so as not to leave in the hands of external components the possibility of pressing the self-destruct button. It will be a political agreement, based more on programs than on positions to occupy, at least according to various and quoted sources.
Very little, if anything, is still leaking out about meetings and content, let alone the names of the hypothetical new councilors that Fiorita will decide on in agreement with the political forces, between Sunday and Monday. It is a different approach that the mayor is pursuing, probably burned by the evolution of the story and the controversies that have flared up in recent days, while there is a city that must be administered.
“No perks at stake” they make clear from Palazzo De Nobili, implying that there should be no government or sub-government positions for those councilors who have left the Talerico area. But even the center-left table itself seemed to focus on political issues rather than individual positions: “The coalition recognizes the need and urgency to directly tune the political and institutional articulations to the needs of the city – it is stated in a note signed by Azione, Cambiavento, Movimento 5 Stelle, Partito Democratico, Partito Socialista and Sinistra Italiana – and in this sense we want to convene an assembly open to all citizens to discuss the programmatic lines, within a short time, to listen to their requests, criticisms, proposals. In the sign of the full recovery of the primacy of politics, the forces present will continue the work of the coalition table with the intent of formulating a programmatic proposal to the mayor”.
