A maxi operation of the carabinieri for the execution of Three orders of pre -trial detention issued by the investigating judge of Reggio Calabria, at the request of the DDA, against 97 suspects is underway in the Reggio and other Italian cities.

The carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Reggio Calabria perform the operation – supported in the executive phase by the military of the provincial commands competent for the territory, by the Ros, by the Eliportato Squadron Cacciatori Calabria and Sicily, from the 14th battalion “Calabria”, from the dog unit and 8th helicopter nucleus of Vibo Valentia and also with the support of the ICAN unit (Interpol Cooperation Against Ndrangheta) of the SCIP for the aspects of international police cooperation – coordinated by the District Anti -Mafia Directorate of Reggio Calabria directed by Giuseppe Lombardo.
The criminal proceedings also provided for the preventive seizure of two companies – active in catering and construction – considered attributable to the suspects and used to encourage the illegal activities of the Association.
