Antonio Giardino, the 48-year-old from Isola Capo Rizzuto who had ended up in handcuffs as part of the “Folgore-Blizzard” investigation of the DDA of Catanzaro, returned to freedom.

This is how the Catanzaro Review Court decided today. The judges, welcoming the application of the defender of the suspect, the lawyer Roberto Coscia, canceled the arrest ordinance issued by the district investigating judge. The operation, taken with 17 arrests performed by the Carabinieri del Ros, would have shed light on the alleged illicit affairs of the Manfredi -Nicoscia gang of Isola Capo Rizzuto who – for the investigators – would have managed to extend its tentacles also in Northern Italy. And in this hypothesized criminal scenario, the figure of the garden is inserted to which the prosecutors contest the crimes of mafia and detention association and bring the public place of weapon, the latter aggravated by the mafia.

According to the accusation, the 48 -year -old would be an exponent of the ‘Ndranghetista clan to whom he would have given his contribution by putting his hands on the contracts of the maintenance of the railway network and on the construction works. But in front of the review, the lawyer Coscia dismantled the charges moved to his client to the point of led to his release.
