There will not be a reopening of the preliminary investigation of the appeal process bis Ndrangheta massacre but a documentary acquisition of sentences and previous reports of interrogations of collaborators of justice. This is what the Court of Assizes of Appeal of Reggio Calabria ordered (president Dr. Angelina Bandiera, judge advisor Dr. Katia Asciutto) after having heard and recorded requests and objections from the Attorney General Giuseppe Lombardo, the civil party lawyers and the defenders of the defendants, lawyers Guido Contestabile and Giuseppe Aloisio. In the dock are the boss of the Palermo Brancaccio district, Giuseppe Graviano, and the representative of the Reggio Ndrangheta Rocco Santo Filippone. The accusation is of having decided on the ambushes on the Carabinieri committed in Reggino between 1991 and 1992 as part of the state massacres on the Sicily-Calabria axis.
