‘Ndrangheta, the “hands in the dough” of Locride extended to Monza and Brianza

After having “conquered” Milan and the entire territory of the metropolitan city, the tentacles of the ‘ndrangheta clans, in particular those originating from Locride, would have dangerously extended into the rich territory of the province of Monza and Brianza. This disturbing situation was crystallized by the latest and recent reports from the District Anti-Mafia Directorate and the Lombard Dia. According to, in fact, the DDA and the Dia in the province of Monza and Brianza there are at least 5 ‘Ndrangheta “locals”, of which 3 are certainly headed by “families” or prominent criminal figures who have been transplanted to Lombardy for some time but come from Locride: Platì, San Luca, Africo and Gioiosa Jonica. In particular in Monza, Desio, Seregno, Lentate sul Seveso and Limbiate, the Reggio “families” have, in an already consolidated manner, their hands in the dough in several important sectors: financial intermediation, money laundering (they own bars, restaurants, discos and other commercial activities), drug dealing, earthmoving and waste disposal.
